Bester and his partner's interpretive dance/mind reading on B5 should place too. I know it's not strictly martial arts but as an attempt to visualize 'thinking really hard' as a form of violence it's pretty laughable.

True test of your country music trivia knowledge: Naming all the ladies in that video as they get their line.
Oh silly @K. Thrace. Season 2 is only 12 episodes long and any attempt to convince you otherwise is a lie.
So glad you added that caveat. Actually not glad at all, I was all ready with a pithy 'Rory Gilmore Sex Boat' reply and you undercut it.
I dunno, the audio of the tape from Cherrypoppers and the madam's reaction to it is pretty equally hard to watch for me.
I remember the critic in our local TV guide raving about it when it made it's way to Canada (on a major network, without censorship of any kind. At 7 pm on Sundays iirc) and deciding to just watch it despite the fact that it it had started airing a few months earlier. First ep I saw was Dragonchasers. To say I was…
When I'm trying to sell friends on it, especially ones who love The Wire, I always emphasize that it's a character piece more than anything (besides wall-to-wall ownage.) Say what you will about The Wire but other than Baltimore it didn't have huge stakes in character development.
They bring that up in the commentaries a few times. Credited to Clark Johnson I believe.
Death Bed: The Bed That Eats
I hate the fact that the first episode ends with "Bawitdaba" because I'm happy to forget that that song exists yet it keeps returning every time I re-watch The Shield.
I always thought it was a Dianne Warren thing because I blame her for every awful power ballad ever.
I think The Gay Parade is as far back as anyone needs to go in Of Montreal's oeuvre frankly, though I agree that working backwards from Hissing Fauna is the way to go.
The thing with GBV that I always find it difficult to look past is that no matter which album I listen to there's always about a 50/50 split between good and bad and the good is generally just as split between pleasant little ditties and amazing songs. There's probably an utterly fantastic 2-disc album spread across…
But Babylon 5 is coming back!
It'd be a close race between this, The Newsroom and Twitch City for me, but I'm pretty sure i would win in the end.
Not to mention all the anorexia jokes at Lindsay's expense after de Rossi was recovering from her own battles with eating disorders.

Their Albert Ayler box is on my short list of things to buy when I have enough disposable income to justify paying 100$ for something.
I too tried TMR in high school and was immediately put off by it, but there was enough interesting shit there to convince me to check out his more "normal" albums. Got hooked by Clear Spot, came back to TMR years later and it just fell into place. It's easily my favorite album of all time now.
Imaginary hook hands.
