It could be worse I suppose…hell I can think of 5 Nickelback songs off the top of my head that make "Hero" sound like damn near tolerable.

One False Move
First part - decent mix of basic crime movie and fish out of water story.
Only tangentially related, but this made my night:

"Sex and Candy" is the best Pavement song ever not recorded by Pavement.
I developed Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance SS by virtue of thin walls and a sister in their target demographic around 2005. I think I can blame that for my finding Paramore to be pretty OK.
I would put every song on Stunt that isn't fucking "One Week" in the pros column.
There is a redeeming feature to "She Hates Me" though - you can sing "Summer Nights" from Grease over it and it fits perfectly.
It's all about "Love at First Sight" as far as I'm concerned. "Confide in Me" comes close though, and "Cant' Get You Out of My Head" is one of those undeniable ones that it's hard to imagine anyone disliking.
It's definitely one of my favorites. Really beautifully shot, edited and scored, plus it was probably the only time I felt anything besides utter apathy towards the Starbuck-Apollo relationship.
Oh yeah, "Rubber Legs" is the best Mineral song, hands down. I actually snagged a copy of the comp it appeared on ((Don't Forget to) Breathe) off ebay a week back and it, in and of itself is probably as good a gateway to the genre as you could ask for. Promise Ring, Hot Water Music - another regrettable omission here…
