Assuming that someone can only be tired of Lena Dunham for misogynistical reasons? That's a downvotin'

Alright, Al Capone.

Not cool, Ted.

Growing up in the good old analogue 90s, the Eastenders charity crossover was the first bit of Doctor Who I'd ever seen. As such, it completely blew my tiny mind. I watched it again recently though, and I couldn't get over how appallingly bad it was.

Apparently he has.

Am I the only one who finds Boardwalk Empire more compelling since the Michael Pitt saga ended? In seasons 1 and 2, it was mostly a show about the relationship between young minions and their middle-aged mentors (with all that “our pups have grown fangs” stuff). Then in Season 3, it became a show about grotesque,

I don't think there are any recordings of Madden's voice, but it's known that he made a point of retaining his Yorkshire accent even when his brother adopted a New York accent. His evident pride in his roots extended to saving clippings from the Yorkshire Post until he died.

Maybe. It would have been better if they'd hired an actual Englishman, seeing as they're all over American TV these days. Someone who actually looks 33 years old (Madden's age in 1924), and has that cocky Shane Meadows movie vibe about them, would have been preferable.

I'm a little disappointed that Boardwalk Empire’s version of Owney Madden is about twenty years too old, looks nothing like him, and has the worst Yorkshire accent I’ve ever heard.

"The Simpsons are going to Sweden!"

Stay tuned for more memos from the Family Guy writers' room.

Gah! You didn't, did you? Sorry. Don't know why I read it that way. Think I just saw her name in my peripheral vision, and then merged it all together.

I agree that Super Furry Animals have shitty album covers. But Bill and Joanna? Really? I thought the covers for Have One On Me and Sometimes I Wish… were delightful. There's even a special place in my heart for that demented Woke On A Whaleheart cover.
