I don't know if you need to even read the L.A. Quartet
American Tabloid says everything Ellroy had been trying to say perfectly. L.A. Confidential and co. were just dry runs for Tabloid.

It filled me with the desire to watch the Archer pilot again.
Also, Im beginning to think Zach G. works better in small doses.
