Watching all of these great fully felt emotional moments after Community just through the former into more stark relief to how its emotional beats have been unearned this season.

It just felt so contrived, I felt like none of the stories, jokes, or emotional moments landed. Yes the part at the end where Abed knows that Troy will find him was sweet but that is because we have a history of knowing Troy and Abed, that payoff wasn't earned in this episode and so the end doesn't justify the means.…
