People seemed to like it, which is puzzling to me, because I'm out at the first sign of an obnoxious voice, which Adomian and Lapkus both trade in (don't get me wrong, they're both funny and I love them dearly…but seriously, there's no reason a character has to have THAT obnoxious a voice).

AM I YELLING AGAIN?

In the past, I might've said Cake Boss or Ice-T, but it seems like those characters, for whatever reason, have run out of "stuff." Cake Boss sort of reached the end of his bit half-life when he achieved dominion over space and time (like Huell Howser encountering infinite Huells in the Hadron Collider), and Ice-T's

I'll take your word for it, but to me, it always feels like the timing is off. There's no rhythm. Someone will say something, and wait for an audience/guest reaction that may or may not come. That tells me that neither Kulap nor Howard are quite comfortable doing it live.

To a non-listener it might sound like you're exaggerating, but it really is that good. I'm jealous of how many sick goofs you'll get to hear for the first time.

Also, holy shit, listen to this week's Two Charted, people. Howard's either losing his mind (in a good way), or he's on something…but either way, it's great comedy.

I was forlorn when they took that week off, but it seems to have recharged their batteries. They're HOT right now. Probably all hopped up on that Suds Buds® Dad Fuel™.

I'm sure Howard is comfortable with the audience when he's doing stand-up or DBS, but he sure doesn't seem comfortable on stage when he's podcasting. Nor does Kulap. I've come to expect that the lives shows will be duds.

At around 5 CST, and for roughly an hour, the AV Club rolled out what I can only imagine to be a test run of new Disqus formatting, probably to capture more clicks or create SEO synergy with social media platforms, or some such bullshit.

Really? I'm a season and a half into Archer, and I have yet to hear a single one.

Lots of nice cross-overs, but have they ever given any love to their Frisky Dingo roots? I'd love to see Xander Crews pop in, even though his animation is essentially identical to Sterling's.

I'm with Lovecraft on this one. Mumford and Sons is the worst kind of fraudulent fucking tripe bullshit nonsense. It'd be like if the Coens were doing a similar movie, only about rock 'n' roll instead, and the band they chose to score it was that shitty cover band Mark Wahlberg played in in the movie Rock Star. Not

They must've burned 10 flags on-camera. God knows how many they destroyed in production. Thank you Texas vs. Johnson!

I hate to say it but I definitely agree. He sort of…kills momentum, or runs a good vibe into the ground by taking it somewhere stupid. Listen to some of his later appearances with PFT…you can tell Tompkins is annoyed by at the direction he takes certain bits.

In the show's Golden Age, it was full of weird Howard characters and bizarre quizzes (remember Red Foo or Sky Blue?). While the show is still in my top 5, it's never been as good as it was then.

Wait, people didn't like the Huebel ep? That guy's can't-miss.

Agreed. It's good to see the brothers back in form after a run of pretty bad episodes dating back to the Candlenights let-down.

You're right, and I suppose it's not too much of a stretch to put that together yourself, but my point was that the show does an amazing job of fleshing out its characters with what otherwise might be considered throwaway gags.

Man, so much good stuff in that scene…

They didn't linger on it, and they didn't really let the joke land before cutting to the next scene, but holy shit that brief shot of Nick frantically throwing crumpled-up dollars at the kids for helping him push the car killed me.
