While these last two episodes haven't been particularly strong or particularly funny, I'm MORE bummed out by the fact that ANY of the last few hours are devoted to the election. The characters and their lives are much more interesting and much funnier than real-world stuff.

Smog (Bill Callahan) has an awesome version of "In the Pines." Makes me feel like the last man on earth.

Don't get me wrong - he's definitely right about "Seasons in the Sun" being creepy…it's just not a song you're going to hear on an actual Halloween mixtape.

He tried to out-AV Club the AV Club, and he's a bit perceptive in that if he'd made an earnest list, we'd probably mock it for being too on-the-nose and start our own weirdly creepy list, which would probably involve mention of Afternoon Delight, at which point it'd likely devolve into another AD quote-off. I love you…

Agreed, and it looks like we're the only ones. I was SURE that this would be a C-episode, with a healthy mix of positive and negative comments…dammit if I don't understand you people at all. There's only a handful of episodes left, ever, and this one feels like a waste.

Also, holy shit, this week's Two Charted is awesome. Howard's story about his brief stint as a defensive driving instructor in Texas…hilarious.

Sad Libs is quickly becoming one of my favorite goofs. Anything that gets Griffin going…especially Sad Libs and Pokemon-related gaffs…is pure comedy gold.
