It's sadly the main source of bread-and-butter for many. Anna Farris would starve otherwise.

@ Snark Week: damn, I guess I really must be the only person who quite enjoyed "Paul".
I, too, enjoy judging a musician based on everything but the music.
What the hell were THOSE two groups doing on the same stage?
Guns, huh?
I wouldn't call this "terrible" at all….just very bizarre, and not really hip-hop in the slightest. More like weird psychedelic neo-soul funk or something.
Fallout 3 and New Vegas play almost exactly like Elder Scrolls games, because they're all made by the same studio. Still fantastic, though.
I'm not reading this comment section, because on skimming I see it's just more of the usual AVClub sniping and snark, with no research done. I don't care how popular or "important" a musician is, just how the songs are. And the song "Video Games" is gorgeous and haunting.
Oh my my, oh hell yes.
In what universe do you live in where The Strokes were never successful?
Erm, what are you talking about? It wasn't Heller who dislikes "American Girl" for being simple, it was his co-worker Kenny. That's what the entire article was about…
"Motel Blues" is a truly haunting song, one of Wainwright's best. "Chronologically I know you're young / but when you kissed me in the club, you bit my tongue".
Serious question: did you even read my post, or just skim it? Because most of my argument is based around the fact that this HAS been his thing the entire time, and that's the main thing that puts him above the other contestants in my book. You're just repeating my point back to me. Haha.
Right, except that he didn't use any of Hova's original words. That's kind of my point.
In regards to Astro's difficult upbringing: did you see his performance over Eminem's "Lose Yourself" a couple weeks ago? That was pretty much all it was about. Also, it fucking ruled.
Babe: Pig In The City is a damn-near masterpiece. Get to watchin'.
Ugh, and here goes the backlash. Didn't you guys give this record like a B+? Fucking music critics flip-flop more than politicians.
Your post horrifies me to my core, @avclub-e7c26e48b7ee853cbf5e49de5d800745:disqus.
Xtro is just the best movie. You saw it when you were NINE!? Holy hell, there's some weird shit going on in there. A WOMAN GIVES BIRTH TO A FULL-GROWN MAN!
