Marge's voice has been off for a while. Kavner has obviously gotten older with the series and it's very noticeable in the voice, which comes across as much more raspy and grating than it once did. But frankly changes in the voices of ALL the characters are noticeable to me, and Homer and Bart in particular are just as

Isn't "Tearjerker" just some Bond-ish type music over the opening credits? I don't recall it being anything special. The episode itself however…the "Oscar Gold" parody alone easily puts it into one of the best Bond parodies ever.

Goddamn, where is the freaking American Dad review!? Why is it that of the countless shows to air on Sunday night that get reviewed, it happens to my favorite that is always dead last. And not by like an hour, by like 6 fucking hours, meanwhile Family Guy seems like it's up right after it airs. I mean shit even on the

That begs the question, did they get some Cleveland writers to help out on the episode to keep some of the characterization in tact? You'd imagine that would be the way to approach this.

Yeah, that Emmy nom was a fucking head scratcher and half though. I actually think that they were just alternating between the FOX shows just for the hell of it, cause one year it was AD, then next it Cleveland, then it would be AD again. I seriously question whether the quality of the episodes were a factor (although

Yeah, Cleveland did seem to be the tamest of all the shows. American Dad doesn't really try to be overtly edgy and shocking in the same way FG does, but they still go there sometimes. I mean they sure do love their incest episodes. They pull it off though because those episodes ("Pulling Double Booty", "Virtual

Yeah, critics definitely love Bobs Burgers. It annoys me though, because back when American Dad was young like Bobs Burgers, it was imo far better. Seasons 2-5 (the first half of the show before Bobs came along) was so consistently great…insanely good jokes, wonderful/unique characters, and some of the most creative

Tonights American Dad was fucking brilliant. Just completely hilarious. I have been waiting patiently for another Roger-centric ep and it finally came, and let's just say: expectations exceeded and THEN some. Easily one of the best episodes of the season and just one of the best episodes in general.

I was on the phone with my friend like a week ago, and to me surprise he told he now he's really into the Cleveland Show. I was like, um, wtf? And he's a big fan of American Dad too. He told me I absolutely have to give it a try from the beginning.

I haven't seen the episode, only the clip of this scene on YouTube, but I was gonna post something about it. Since you've pretty much quoted it all, I'm just gonna reply here.

Yeah, but then they made Jeff a teacher, which was a pretty decent idea to keep things going and change up the status quo. Unfortunately, they did absolutely nothing with that change. It seemed to exist only to get things back to the original status quo.

It seems a little odd to run this article because it seems like pretty much everybody who reads The AV Club is a fan of Community. Obviously I'm probably over exaggerating, but certainly there were more obscure shows to turn the readership on to instead of going for one of the sites most all-time popular choices? But

I did enjoy the Oceans Eleven-esque episode, but that arc was still kind of a drag either way. I mean, it's not awful or anything, but it's not what I'd consider good…I certainly don't look forward to it when rewatching episodes.

I don't think you can have a list of 10 essential Community episodes without "Modern Warfare". As great and also innovative as "Contemporary American Poultry" is, being the first genre episode and all, "Modern Warfare" is considered THE Community episode, the one that was a total game changer and the one that seems to

Great episodes, but part one is way stronger than part two, imo.

I pretty much hate "Digital Estate Planning". Alright, maybe "hate" is a strong word, but I don't find it to be a good episode, at all. I found it lacking in laughs, the plot line was stupid as hell, and it seemed to exist only for the gimmick of being in a video game. Easily in my bottom 5 of season 3.

"Messianic Myths and Ancient Peoples" is definitely one of the most underrated episodes of the series.

App Development was definitely one of the better episodes of the season. That makes me happy because it was the first episode of a few guys who came over from American Dad!, a show they began as merely writers assistants before eventually becoming staff writers and writing three of the very best episodes of the best

Seasons 4 and 5 remain my absolute favorites, and I don't think there's a bad episode in either one of them. There's actually one ep I'm not crazy about in season 4, and that's "Every Which Way But Lose". Now it's still a hilarious episode with countless laugh-out-loud moments, it's just the Stan attempting suicide

"Homewrecker" has never been my favorite episode, but it's definitely grown on me to the point where I do enjoy it. When I first saw it I really wasn't crazy about it, and that was largely in part because of that completely disjointed first act with the weird ass "Grease" song break segue into gospel bit you mention.
