I'd have to agree, Stans replacement was a really weak character. I'm glad he was limited to a scene or two.

I'd have to disagree that the plot was dismal, although it was pretty low-key and anti-climactic. I thought it was fun though watching Stan and Steve work the same job and kinda butt heads, even if it was done similarly and slightly better in "Stanny Tendergrass". But I dunno, there are a few AD episodes I don't like,…
It was quite predictable, that's for sure. However it was put-together far better than your typical FG plot.
So then…not classic AD? Seems a bit contradictory.
The cutaway with the guy actually riding the rails and his dead cat was pretty great.
The first half of the season was a little stronger I'd say. It seemed to be consistently in the A-minus level in quality whereas the latter half is more in the B/B+ range. Still good though at least imo, with a couple absolute standouts like "Rubberneckers", and "She Swill Survive".
"Seriously, you gotta stop telling people Stan!"
Eh, the bulk of the episode didn't even focus on the minor rift between Stan and Francine. It was mostly about the music and Stan vs. the insurance agent.
As someone who enjoyed the first season (even if I didn't find it spectacular) and hasn't seen a lick of the second season, can someone tell me; has the show gotten that much better this season or have Todds grades just gotten more lenient? Cause I really hope it's the former, as I did think this show had some promise…
American Dad has never been about offensive humor. There is the occasional edgy line here or there, but it's not very frequent. It's always been about awesomely creative plots and interesting characters with a staggering amount of great, clever jokes and one-liners. Your criticisms strike me as someone who has never…
I also liked Francines reason for wanting to get a new couch: too many animals have given birth on the old one.
Well in the season 1 episode "Tears Of A Clooney" she celebrates her 40th birthday, so it has definitely varied throughout the series. But she's always pretty much been very late 30's early 40's.
I honestly didn't find this episode that bad. It was like C+, B- range for me, as there were a lot of decent jokes tonight. The plot was pretty tired for sure, and whenever they show Chris in a relationship it's pretty painful, but from a pure-humor level this wasn't that terrible.
So did American Dad…Roger doing Footloose as Kevin Bacon is such a classic moment, I feel as if FG would have been wise to not even come near it.
I thought they were gonna go a lot further with Roger and Klaus having to cover up the stain, but the secret was out pretty quickly which I thought was a slight missed opportunity. Still had some really funny moments, like Klaus asking if he had "tank head", and;
Yes, glad I'm not the only one who thought he sounded exactly like DMX.
Her tombstone said 1971 in "May The Best Stan Win", so she's 43, not 53.
"You just couldn't keep your eyes off that slutty bartender, could you."
"Wait, what? Are you just guessing she's slutty, or have you heard something?"
Stan didn't even realize there was liquor in those drinks those, he thought it was street slang, like "that soda be so cheap, you jackin cokes, son!".
That lady and the guy who literally couldn't rubberneck were fantastic one-off characters. I don't get why Kevin said the courthouse scene was "saved from disaster" by the musical, when imo it was one of the funniest scenes in the episode. Everything the judge said was classic!
