Season 4 is decent, but I don't love it. Season 5 when the show lost me as a loyal viewer, and part of that was due to season 4's decreased returns. Granted, I've seen the reruns so many times I did grow to at least find some enjoyment out of a lot of the episodes, especially when I stopped comparing them to classic…
This episode was fucking abominable. Seriously, I cringed my way through this. The so called satire in this episode would make classic Simpsons episodes weep tears of sadness.
Eh whatever, just stating how I feel. People can go over into the Family Guy reviews and rip them to pieces but any slightly dissenting take on Bobs Burgers and it's met with comments like this. Kinda sad, really.
I got a decent chuckle out of that bit too. And the capper where he gently picked up a seashell was actually pretty funny. Granted I dozed off briefly in the third act (I basically missed what the reviewer did) and the second act sucked, but I actually thought act one had some of the funnier FG material as of late.…
MacFarlanes off making movies and hosting the Oscars and all sorts of shit like that these days, and he recently said as of late he hasn't even been able to oversee his normal FG duties, which is basically just signing off on shit (like scripts and whatnot). Even the shows he's making aren't really being made by him,…
Pretty meh episode all around, but two bits save it from being a loss: "Twincinnati"and the hilarious sight gag of Bob with braided hair.
Let's hope AD's Dead Zone parody is as fucking amazing as their Poltergeist and Blade Runner parodies from earlier in the season.
Because meta, clever and funny!
I'm just not really buying it. If people are gonna write essays about these first few episodes it's because they want to. There was still character stuff last season that could have been dissected and written about, it just wasn't that well done. And people were so bummed out about Harmon they didn't really want to do…
That's a stretch. Plus, if that were true then they would be using meta-commentary as a crutch for lazy writing.
You pretty much defined perfectly why these were underwhelming and ultimately for me, disappointing episodes. For my money the Nick Cage thing was one of the worst things the show has done under Harmon, and I believe if that same subplot appeared last year it would have been eviscerated by the fans here, but since…
Yeah those episodes are good examples, but it was hardly back last night. They tried to do that, but didn't really succeed and the characters were still pretty cartoonish. Annie got re-addicted to a drug apparently and it was mostly played a joke, despite her negative history with it. Abed had his wackiest plot line…
Really, funniest of the series? Wow…that's quite the claim. Maybe top 30 for me.
Wow…that's sad.
I dunno, Annie is up there, but also Abed and Troy went through pretty brutal transformations too. I guess Troy not so much (well, he basically became the token moron) but Abed went from best to worst character in a moments notice. It started in season 3 but 4 pretty much killed him. I'm really gonna be looking to see…
Uhh that was SO cheesy. That's one meta moment that just doesn't work for me, way too on the nose. I feel like I'm being to negative about these episodes, but I really did find enjoyment out of them, just being realistic in my assertion that they weren't classic Community good, and that's partially because of stuff…
Mad hyperbole yo. Seriously…it still has a ways to go to recapture even the tone of season 3. It's got a slight season 4 haze over it.
Yeah it's really not a big deal and I can't see it affecting the season as a whole, it just made the premiere slightly weaker then I expected it to be.
Leagues ahead? I think that's a typo!
