(Cersei does act the part…

Dany's not a CEO. She's royalty. They don't think that way. I mean, your reasoning is good and strategically sound. But these royals never went to business school, and Dany is clearly a lot more like her brother than we realized.

I would love to see that. Not sure if the episodes truly demand in-depth analysis, but relevant info about Japanese culture and history would be great to read about.

I also watched The Great Gatsby. Gotta say, I really liked it. Yeah, it is too cartoony in spots, and Tobey Maguire just looks too much like Tobey Maguire the whole time. But I was entertained. It's a fun movie. I'm sure it's not great, but I had not been expecting much… kinda like when I went to see Watchmen. I

I think the X-Files episode is just called "Pusher." A great, thrilling episode written by Vince Gilligan. The final scene pitting Mulder against Modell is among the most memorable in the series. Dammit, I don't wanna start craving to rewatch The X-Files, I'm supposed to be packing for a trip!

Maggie Gyllenhaal in Secretary. I had no interest in her until I saw it, and I've loved her ever since. She is so appealing in it.

I have not been a fan of Ted at all, but this season seems to paint him as a good guy. Not perfect (he kissed Peggy, he's a married man). But also not the type to be "setting up to twist and turn Peggy to his purpose through emotional manipulation." That sounds sociopathic. And Don's relationship with Peggy is clearly

That sounds like a Don who would have gone off in a jet with Joy (in "The Jet Set") and left it all behind….

But Ted told her where she stood in their previous meeting. That he didn't want to be attracted to her and that kissing her was a mistake. And Abe may be gone, but Ted is still married. I don't see what he was doing wrong here.

Coz he seems to be trying too hard. Or possibly coz he sticks out like a sore thumb among these characters, a Kenneth Parcell amid a pack of knaves and cynics.

@avclub-f900c211bceaaa9016dda3f017176e7a:disqus Who doesn't want to be happy? You suggested Betty does have some issues. I pointed out what I thought they were.

Betty is a person who will always measure herself by how men value her. She is particularly happy this episode because she got her mojo back and every man she encounters wants a piece of her. Though I don't doubt she's happier with Henry than she was with Don.

I have no recollection of that. Man, taken out of context these descriptions make Home Alone sound more horrific than Martyrs.

Ray Stevenson?

So I guess no one would be interested in the Twitter convo that the study group had about Jeff's steak dinner? Anyway, there's a transcript here: http://www.reddit.com/r/com…

I'm highly sympathetic to Manning. But the US Army is hardly going to allow a legal precedent to be set wherein a person who divulges classified material is able to get off lightly. Think of how damaging such a precedent would be.

I love Spirited Away, but I have a special love for Nausicaa. She is my favorite type of heroine, the truly kind and gentle soul who is forced to become a badass. And the manga is a fantastic epic full of deep, complex characters. If you're a fan of Game of Thrones, do yourself a favor and check out the Nausicaa manga.

I've heard many people offer the same opinion about Howl, but I've never really understood it. I love Howl as much as the others… Spirited Away, Mononoke, Totoro, Kiki, Castle in the Sky, etc.

I love them both. I did see the film first, I admit. I found it entrancing and very affecting. The book is delightful in a different fashion. I don't really want to compare the two.

The history of music has seen similar instances. And yes, that is not the kind of project that is likely to go over well with fans and critics.
