What DanielleM said. I think his name is "Red Lincoln."

X-Files stopped at season 6 for me. I never watched past that (although for some reason I did see Fight Club). It's very tough to call, but I give the crown to Fringe, mainly coz X-Files didn't do a good job of delineating their mythology (assuming it's even possible to make sense of it). And I would rank White Tulip,

My favorite episode is the one that crossed over with the eighth season of Journeyman.

The White Tulip originally played a part in a time travel paradox, so I'm okay with this.

I also think the LOST finale was better, more tense and exciting and it would be truly great if it weren't for the last few minutes in the church. OTOH Fringe did a better job overall of making me love and care for the characters (much kudos also goes to the actors for that), so I found the Fringe finale more

AAAAAAHHHHHH! GENE! Isn't she the best?

The feeling is mutual.

In fairness, only half of LOST's final season "didn't happen." Unless you're talking about Roseanne's final season.

It's especially great given that the Observers see humans as ants.

Nice catch. Like Noel, I thought that Michael leaving the train didn't make any sense. But I saw this theory on the /r/fringe finale thread, and you improve on it with the addition of Michael's superior future prediction powers. This is the kind of stuff that just intensifies my admiration for the show.

Anyone else think that the line "we don't want to separate them" means that Liz is adopting conjoined twins?

Alphas has been cancelled

I believe the original ending got a poor response at audience pre-screenings, so they changed it. The novelization kept the original ending, which confused the hell out of me when I read it.

I'd say that Fringe actually beats The X-Files, probably its closest competitor for the crown, as well as its clear precursor. I LOVE The X-Files, but it has a bunch of poor episodes, and its mythology was way too muddled. Also, I think White Tulip is just a smidge better than the very best X-Files episodes.

Same here. Although I collected the individual issues, actually. In addition to this being my favorite, I also consider it to be the best arc.

But Michael is as bad as the other "scummy family members." And does Buster really count as scummy?

I demand an Inventory of awful shows with awful, awful names!

What about Star Trek TOS? Okay, I never actually saw it, but it's a show that came back.
