I really wanted Pearce to play John Constantine: Hellblazer. I know Constantine is based on Sting, but do you really want Sting playing that role?

If only Tobias had done the whole article like this! Or at least arranged the paragraphs in reverse order. Surely some Internet reviewer has done something of the sort… link, anyone?

Technically, Finding Nemo is about the normal memory skills of a not-terribly-bright species of fish, but basically, yeah.

@avclub-29501df08e5d9ae59e432e4f188d3735:disqus you're confusing it with The World Is Not Enough. But that seems to happen a lot. (For some odd reason, I keep catching TWINE on cable while I'm traveling. I kind of like it, but that may be the Stockholm Syndrome talking.)

While technically a spin-off, it would be more accurate to describe NCIS as a backdoor pilot: "Okay, this was not a case of taking established, loved characters from an existing show and launching them into a new series. This was one of those cases where they introduce the characters for the new show as guest stars on…

If I remember right, Dream's other big infatuation was with Alianora, for whom he created Barbie's dreamworld in A Game of You. Which was the arc that introduced Thessaly. Hmmm.

That's odd. Maybe it will be continued in a mini-series? I vaguely remember liking the Dead Boy Detectives way back when, but I can see the premise getting stale fairly quickly.

Thanks for the heads-up. I have that book and I tried reading it, but I couldn't get into it for some reason. I don't suppose you can say something about it that might get me hooked?

I was of the impression that Sweeney Todd was well-regarded around here, although I never warmed to it myself. Anyone else like Sleepy Hollow? I really enjoyed that one, though I have no idea if it still holds up.

Thank you so much for this, Noel. I'm supposed to be packing for a flight, and here I am, wasting precious minutes reading this love letter to this sadly, not-loved-enough show. I miss the world of The Middleman, which for all its craziness had real heart. I miss its wonderful characters. I wish it would come back.
