Super agree.The Myth Adventures series were some of my very favorite books growing up, even as Mr. Asprin's writer's block caused numerous problems with scheduling and quality of the later books in the series. PPG can be surprisingly adult at times. I would say a better bet for a 5 year old would be Craig McCracken's other show "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends".
