She did do a great job. It felt very real.

Caught a cold. Home sick.

I love their fries - it's the only thing I even like there. I asked for a grilled cheese and tomato sandwich once and the tomato came on the side, for some reason.

What the heck is a thermal spring? Did they mean a hot spring? I have never heard of a thermal spring. And that DD3 was WAY too easy! Also, I feel very proud of myself for actually thinking about the FJ clue and coming up with it at the last minute.

I don't have children and I love them. If there's a baby in the room, you can be damned sure I'm holding it.

No, I'm definitely tired of it.

Well, I guessed 3 comments before someone brought up the "abusive husband" thing. I missed it by two.

I've only seen scattered episodes, probably less than 20 altogether. I'm not sure I have the energy to watch every episode even just up to Season 9.

Okay, that just pisses me off. I absolutely hate when that much work is done on someone who is effectively already dead. It's wasteful and it's a little disrespectful to the person, if you ask me. Which you didn't, of course.

I basically don't tell my siblings anything about my life and vice versa. We use my mom as a clearing house. I don't know what we'll do after my mom dies.

I bought a little Toyota truck one time and 13 days later, it got destroyed by a car sliding sideways on a narrow road in heavy snow. And I was 500 feet from my driveway! They did have insurance but I got hit twice in Texas by drivers with no insurance (after they passed the must-have-insurance law).

At least you're trying to do something. Whenever I would say something to my mom or dad about the chronic teasing and bullying, they'd just say, don't react - they'll give up. Yeah, that's not good advice, mom and dad.

My mom sent out a list last year (she's 77) of everything in the house that's already promised to or belongs to my siblings and me. I think she's going to just let us fight the rest out (which I will probably be okay with b/c the most argumentative siblings are already gone). But my mom is SO organized.

Yeah, my safety net is basically my parents' credit card, which they entrusted to me quite a while ago. I really need to grow up and save some money.

Oh, I'm sorry about your kitty!

I finished up the Laundry series (I think) - I may have to take another look at the Merchant Princes series.

I read Quantum Night by Robert Sawyer (a Canadian sf author). I read it when it came out last March and didn't have much of a reaction, but now? Holy crap it's timely. It's about consciousness and mentions psychopaths a lot. Very interesting read.

Huh?

Man, I've forgotten all my British history! I feel such a fool!

I also said Henry VIII - I knew he wasn't king then but I thought maybe he dedicated it to someone who was dead. That's a thing, isn't it? Although on further thought, that doesn't make sense because Henry was Protestant and James was Catholic.
