When I was growing up, my mom loved The Jazz Singer (Neil Diamond version) and my dad loved Fiddler on the Roof. No, we are not Jewish, but I have memories of my dad strutting around the house singing "Tradition" and I know many more Neil Diamond songs - and all the words - than I care to admit.

I loved that movie and am always surprised when people haven't seen it. Later, I realized I probably only saw it because I was a big River Phoenix fan. And Kevin Kline looked like our local pizza guy who was always flirting will all the women.
