Does anyone remember the episode of Cops where that one dude was like, "What'd I do sir!?"

I don't think podcasting is at the stage where it's value comes from its profitability as a business. Most podcasts survive because they promote the brand of the people who produce them who can then exploit that in other areas (live shows, books, etc).
