Yeah, I saw these guys in Boone, NC in 1999, doing pretty well in a town with lots of fans of this "storied genre."  They definitely weren't "cashing in," unless you count the tips they earned.  They deserve whatever success they've gotten at least as much as, say, the Avett Bros. (no sleight to them).

I think this could definitely spin off into a pretty awesome Highlander reboot.  Also, my wife's family calls fudgesicles "fudgicles."  That just sounds weird to me.
