REASON SHALL PREVAIL

And why do I never hear people praise the weird little touches, like the "Joker Mary" scene? Nobody gets killed, there's no verbiage. Just fear and noise (groaning? creaking? oddly vocal?) and fear and lights blinking and fear and virgin mary and then also holy shit

"underrated" isn't quite adequate for this one. The first one (and so many that followed) relied on shock for effect; consequently it hasn't aged well. This film, on the other hand is like distilled dread.

you know nothing, k. thrace

Mel Gibson's got his "twinkle" back?

You don't have to be a deranged circus performer to work here, but it helps!

Agreed. It seemed to me that, until the very end with the Duccamorph, Hader was pretty much just there to plug the movie. didn't seem to have any knowledge of the show and seemed annoyed by WYR.

Frank Herbert's Ghola Babies!

HEY LADIES they might just say were they to be yelling at Lena Dunham

The Theocrats!

I spend the majority of every episode mocking just how brain-meltingly shitty The Governor's accent is.

Agreed. Thirty-Plus years on and Slayer still sounds genuinely evil. All the new shit sounds cartoonish in comparison.

No love for About Today? It's like nobody here's ever been in a dying relationship.
