Definitely true that he repeatedly writes the same joke but I saw him live a few months ago and he pretty much killed. He could step outside that predictable structure and improvise occasionally, playing off the crowd and stuff. He was really funny.

I love Punch-Drunk Love. Besides the fact that the movie just looks and sounds great, I think it approaches depression and anxiety in a way nothing else has. And the casting of Sandler is kind of genius for the type of movie Anderson was trying to make.
