Whether you plan to see this or not, we should all support any animated movies that stray from the animation of every godawful Dreamworks movie that's fed to kids now. Kids need creepy, cool, weird, funny, imaginative animation so they can grow up to hate the monotony of adulthood fully and appropriately.
The idea of attempting to make the past immersive and avoiding cliche is fine but Mann's cameras didn't do that. They made the movie look unprofessional and high-school-film-project shitty. I don't need a sepia toned image but give me something that actually looks appropriate on a movie theater screen.
I haven't seen Public Enemies on a digital screen but on the screen at my local theater, it looked like an ugly mess. Use film!
