I really like most of Bava's horror output, though I'd say Lisa and the Devil is probably my favorite. Just love the dreamy style of it. Several of his films have a similar quality in that regard, but everything comes together best in that I think.

I really grew to look forward to this show over the course of last season. Nothing ground breaking, just a pleasant little show with a talented cast that fits their characters well.

Dreaded double post.

I actually prefer her to Emma Stone, though I suspect I will not be faced with the decision of having to pick between Jane Levy and Emma Stone.

Never saw it but Lions for Lambs comes to mind.

Yeah, I'll echo others. I understand why they retooled I guess, given the direction the ratings went last season, but I think they eliminated a good portion of where the laughs came from. Now it's just pleasant because of its cast, but there wasn't a laugh to be found.

Well, I think the episode was effective because it set up a couple of arcs with dramatic tension that actually felt fairly legitimate, which is something that has been missing recently. This allowed for the supporting characters more ridiculous comedic moments to just either work or not work without being the entire

I love the regular cast but this was probably my favorite episode since the Newsreaders finale last season. Just fun when you get a different spin on things.

Well, 13 review so far at MetaCritic, the cream of the crop of Rotten Tomatoes I suppose, and the AV Club is the only pan so far. 9 positive, 3 mixed. I'll be curious to see if this stays at that level. Kind of surprising, but yeah, this review seems to be an anomaly so far.

I thought Shadow of the Vampire was really good and that was only 10 or 11 years ago, heh. I've always thought he was pretty good though, not sure why the good parts dried up for him.
