I saw this episode on TV once as a little kid and, not knowing that it was The Andy Griffith Show, I thought it was that To Kill a Mockingbird movie I'd always heard about.

That's the first time I had ever heard someone make a 9/11 joke, and its probably the only time it's been joked about on a mainstream tv show. Kinda weird to think that it had only been about 2 years since the attacks and he could get away with it, I don't think anyone could get away with it again if they tried
