There's a great Oscar Wilde quote — "Only the shallow know themselves." Against Dazed and Confused it should be, "if you didn't see yourself in one of those characters, you're in denial." That movie was spot-on high school.

'The Kid Stays in the Picture' —- I need this in my life. Air sooner, show!
I didn't know who Kenneth Lonergan was. I saw 'You Can Count On Me' because I liked Laura Linney after Congo (no, seriously). You can imagine what that film did to me. Other than create a lifelong loyalty to Lonergan and Mark Ruffalo and Laura Linney (who I met once and was totally lovely — one of the few actors whose…
Oh no, I got the meme. But I had thoughts on it.

I actually want it off the list. I thought it more lesbian porn than a film. Though Lea Seydoux is always great. '
Zodiac is a film about obsession made by obsessives. It's Fincher's crowning obsessive-compulsive achievement.

No. Wrong. Just so, so wrong.
It is. But 'The Grand Budapest Hotel' is a close second for me. M. Gustave is Wes Anderson's greatest character.
Damnit but yes —- I would loooove to watch 'About A Boy' directed by Michael Mann even if I have no idea how that would actually work (does anyone?).
