She's my hero. This show has her doing some crazy things but she remains unflappable and right in character. She's just so damn lovely.

spoilers for book:
I loooved that the show is amping up Dougal's affection for Geilie and that rather than go on a hunt, it's Jamie assisting in banishing Dougal. This could make what happens next much more interesting.
I thought the review was a little off too because it failed to notice that a chunk of this episode was from Jamie's perspective and it worked, especially to see Sandringham play both sides.
She asks Jamie to bring her a drink during the feast…
The crate…. good call!!
I like Scott Pilgrim the way I like Cabin in the Woods — they're highly quotable popcorn entertainment. But yeah Chandor getting snubbed by avclub makes me doubt avclub as an institution, especially because they could be a trilogy:
Margin Call: How a company makes decisions
All is Lost: How a man makes decisions
A Most…
Margin Call > Wolf of Wall Street. Any day of the week.
i'm going to do my taxes to it.
… I still think it was the brother, Jason, who killed Nicholas just because he was the only one who didn't buy into Frederic, even momentarily.
Is this true? Because it's crazy how not there he is on all the episodes. And the conversations are this severely edited?? Everything I know is a lie. Or I just remain really really gullible.
His name's not Warren?
Ahhhhh, Margot and Richie at the bus station to this song… sooo perfect.
Yeah, soooo a lot of The White Stripes was covers or new recordings of folk/blues/gospel stuff from 1920's and 1930's. Cannon, Death Letter… and it's arguably the best stuff. Have you seen the Grammy's Death Letter performance? Hearts.
Oh, hands down… Separation needs to be top 5.
It's as plain as the Ann on nose's face.
It's pissing me off it beat Upstream Color. Upstream Color had one of the best "recovering from tragedy" screenplays ever. EVER.
Like Murtaugh. My crush burns bright. And Gellie. Fingers crossed she's back in the next ep, twirling stuff in her fingers.
I dunno. I agree with you that the dynamic of Claire's obstinacy/selfishness meeting Scottish reality gave a lot more depth and tact to what could have been just another scene of domestic violence. Instead, the show clearly stated that the beating wasn't about her gender, it was about her screwing up and putting…
Yep, also a fan of opening the world. I just think this got weighed down a bit because it was his first POV ep and the first time we're seeing the full politics; in other words, soo much exposition. Still though… I'm with you meg1984, it's as much his story as it is hers now — that's marriage. Plus I have no fear this…
I feel like even the show was winking at people being over it — Mama Smoak saying she knew in five seconds, Oliver asking everyone to stay with him a little longer. It's just gone on too long. I'm really hoping he goes in the next ep. I want to start liking Brandon Routh again.
