His booking photo in the show made me spit out my water. It may have been the best and now only way to announce Jon Hamm is entering your show.
Even cooler: Some random college kid in central Florida thought it'd be a good idea to give little kids who lost their arms superhero arms. And did it. Sometimes people are just great.
I loved the Captain America parts — the elevator sequence was amazing, but what made that movie great to me was how all the female characters around him (and there were a lot) were just doing their thing, being awesome and that was it. But so were the main male characters. Captain America, Sam Wilson/Falcon. So great.
As a white woman (… feels strange to qualify this), "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" was crazy-good feminist and awesome. Think about it: all female characters aren't about hooking up with Captain America (saying something) but about doing their jobs, being people, and being heroes. It's good stuff. Actually so…
A guy I know got an early model — it's soo cool on, especially in the dark. I want one too. But at the rate I destroy/lose watches, it'd be gone or waterlogged in two months so I have to resign myself to not having nice things.
I think that's one of the last scenes of Season One because when I saw it, I was soo sad the season was ending (both football season and television season) only to forget about that so I could marvel over how great the song choice was for the parade scene.
I liked the way the ad handled Meg's absence. Clever. Gregory Peck's face should stay on the drum…
Fingers crossed!
:holds out two fingers from space: I'm crushing your trade barrier. I'm crushing your trade barrier.
I have to do this — "Like Omar and Mike, good epps."
Yeah but he made his contempt obvious and that killed him for me. There's a classy way to handle things you dislike or want out of (George Clooney in ER) and then there's being a bitch (David Duchovny in The X-Files)… Pattinson went bitchy.
Amazon gets them the morning after they air. I gave up cable a few years ago but couldn't give up Drag Race so I've been downloading. The earlier seasons are free on Amazon Prime as well, fyi.
Favorite comment from 'RuPaul's Drag Race' thread:
I see white and gold, then blink and see light blue and beige. Pretty much exactly this (above). How anyone can see black is just beyond me…. I still think it's a hoax.
"On the Dark Side" in Eddie and the Cruisers
"Riverbottom Nightmare Band" in Emmet Otter's Christmas
"Old Souls" in Phantom of the Paradise
You know, I really can't see why Felicity would go for Oliver at all anymore. The show really did implode Olicity. Ballsy considering the fanbase and the very real chemistry between the two actors. It'll probably all switch back in the second half but the writers are going to have to do some work for it.
Yeah his loyalty to Merlyn is inexplicable but I guess it's just all supposed to be an extension of Oliver's fear getting in his way (starting with the date being blown-up to Sara's death to his own) and now he's just operating with the switch set to crazy. If anything though, the show is getting more suspenseful just…
He keeps it under 3 ounces.
I still believe the writers will give us this joke somewhere this season. They tied Oliver to the railroad tracks, they can give us the Up and Atom joke.
