This show has the same problem a lot of shows and movies do. Well-off writers use their own home lives as models for the "typical" family and then substitute in weird vague jobs for writer. I am just glad no one in any of the families is in advertising.

Seriously though. 2 Broke Girls was cringeworthy with its references.

She's clearly a total amalgamation. She has the Oprah preachiness, the Ellen dancing/DJ, and the Tyra craziness/crazy guests. I'm sure there will be more.

Really hoping we get more Matt Braunger. Would be a waste if that was all we got.

"If it wasn't for you, I never would have lost weight or discovered R&B. I used to be so sad. Now I'm fly." "You've always been fly."

The reason they couldn't use Calvin as a sitter the night before: He hadn't yet met the baby and they hadn't yet realized he was lord of the infants.

I guessed pretty early that I think crack might be how Mac loses the weight. That would be amazing.

Glenn and Charlie were saying that he asked them to do it to and they both turned him down. "No. That's okay. You go for it though. It sounds disgusting."

Mighty Aphrodite is easily in my top 10 Woody Allen films. Such a great movie.

But none of those are over-arching plots, they're just things that happen.

Agreed.

I am what most (my last few therapists included) would call anxious and depressed. I can't think of anything more anxiety-inducing or depressing than carrying a gun with me.

Doug cares noticeably less about the way things run during studio episodes, as he should.

I felt that way with her first character but as they all stayed so one-note (in both theory and execution) it just got progressively funnier.

I was listening to it while I was out for a walk. I busted out into laughter (over the Sjunior/Pieces incest) right as I crossed paths with some stranger. It was awkward but I couldn't control it.

Regeneration. I have only watched series 1, 5 and 6 of Doctor Who (I couldn't get into Tennant) so my understanding of regeneration is shaky at best. Does the fact that Melody is a little black girl when she is around 8 mean that the original Melody would have died sometime before that age? Or could she have been

What gave everyone the impression that they were going to stop looking for Melody? Was there any actual line or just the way the story never followed through within the episode. I just assumed it would get picked up again later.

I thought the opposite. They specifically mention that their mission is to deal justice to those who were never punished for their crimes. It wouldn't make sense to punish River for killing the Doctor if she was already imprisoned for that.

That was Amy the day he met her. That day he saved her. It was all the time after that when she was fucked.

I think later on in the episode when Larry is talking about Cooperstown they do say Sunday. It was weird that they mixed it up.
