Charles Grodin
Things that made me almost die:
- That Charles Grodin open
- Mac interpreting his moms grunts
- Charlie, again, being the somewhat sane one. "LOOK OVER THERE!"
- "Oh, so Charlie doesn't die."
- Mac deciding to let Poppins run away when he was less than 50 feet away from him.

Andy
Tonight was a great episode for Andy. He rarely gets more than a Bobby gag but tonight he was in full swing. I especially loved his Robin Williams in Good Will Hunting impersonation. "Its not your fault, nanu-nanu." The guy is more talented than he gets credit for.

Possibly my least favorite episode…
Of Modern Family, which still puts it a mile ahead of most sitcoms and far from any concerns of "jumping a deadly sea creature".

Typo
Baby sister, not baby's sister.

My thoughts during episode one: "I can't wait until they catch the Santa Muerte killer so Dexter can take him out"

Blech.
I was watching this and came to check the letter grade. "C+? Thats crazy. The first half of this episode has been great." And then the credits rolled. That was it. Dexter needs to be about Dexter, fuck the rest of the cast.

Greased Watermelons
Frank had his best episode yet tonight. Better than the intervention, better than sliding out of a leather couch and better than confusing his life with John Rambo's life. The greased watermelon was just goddamn funny.

Haha
I'm loving the title cards this season.

Home run (or some other sports metaphor)
"Maybe he doesn't think the joke is funny. MAYBE HE DOESN'T THINK I'M FUNNY."

I think they've kissed every episode this season. Twice I can think of off hand.

Great episode……
But they need to choose. Luntz or Migo.

What?
Felt like someone wrote a whole script and then decided to erase it in the last thirty seconds.

Good but…
I loved tonight but it could have tied together better. We needed to see Mac berated by Dee and Dennis for breaking the tape. We needed to see Frank in his car listening to his children talk and realizing what a terrible idea it was. Most importantly, we needed someone to mention Charlie's mullet wig.

The Rock?

Watch every episode Cricket has ever been in. His appearance has never been the same twice. I expect next time we see him his voice will be fine and he'll be up to some new shenenigans.

That entire first paragraph is patently untrue.

Good stuff
In my mind a better comparison for this show would be My Name is Earl. Bumbling and eccentric characters in odd situations learning new things about a happier and fuller way to live life.

Cross isn't really a "character" in that this is his device for the rest of the season. Any time he shows up at the house Steve will send him away. KEEP UP WITH YOUR AV CLUB INTERVIEWS.

He did it twice.

I loved the juxtaposition of Michaels story about his mom being ashamed that he wanted to wear skirts as a kid and his son showing up minutes later.
