Because it seemed likely that she *would* be important. Now it does not.

It will be tough when they name this new show Glue Detective
They're not really for skinny guys either.
Sansa, Cersei, Melisandre, and the Queen of Thorns all beg to differ. Both Sansa and Cersei were horribly annoying at first, but this season they've become some of the greatest characters.
He's got about two episodes worth of Greenseer 101 that hasn't been shown, but yeah, not any *events* per se are left to him.
All of the non Asha Greyjoys are a fuckton of fun to be around. I don't expect Aeron to make an appearance, but we've gotta have a Euron and Victarion next season…right??
She's gonna be mighty fucking rotted by the time they find her now.
Hasn't done much yet, but it is unfathomable that her character will not be important. I'm not sure what the point of Brienne and Jaime would be beyond this season if she isn't in the picture.
Todd - You are definitely in the minority in terms of not liking this season. Most think it is the best one yet. Your only reason given is lack of thematic unity…something which I think you are over valuing to a massive extent. Episodes of TV can be excellent even if they don't follow the same narrative scripts laid…
Who's paying the crazy amount of gold it takes to send a Faceless Man after Melisandre? The anti-Jon contingent at the Wall have a motive, but no money. She'd have to make a new enemy with significant resources.
Re-reading the chapter it looks like it was her hands, not her legs, where burns are mentioned. "Her skin was ink and tender, and a pale milky fluid was leaking from her cracked palms, but her burns were healing."
Bran's powers far outstrip his siblings…Dany just has a mystical gift that Viserys did not. And I don't think she's immune to fire (she isn't hit right in the face with that dragon breath, it just is near her), just highly highly resistant to it. She herself has burns on her legs from riding Drogon.
It seems like whatever their formation was, their ideology now is that everyone deserves the gift of death equally, and anyone who pays for it/sacrifices to the God of Many Faces is viable.
When I read her being super super sick with an incredible amount of blood, I thought that was her *losing* a child she didn't know about. She made reference to not having bled for awhile prior to that, so she ate bad berries and had a miscarriage.
Well he's been part of the Illyrio/Varys plot for a long time, one or both of them has a Blackfyre connection to him.
And I just gave myself hope of Jon being played by someone other than Kit Harrington in the distant future.
The intro chapter of book 5 is all about Varamyr's soul going into one of his wolf's bodies after he dies. The whole point of that chapter is giving us a clue as to what will happen to Jon. Melisandre sees a vision of Jon being first a human, then a wolf, then a human again….he's dead, but coming back. Only question…
I think Arya and Dany will meet when Arya is sent on a mission to assassinate her.
Its a little odd in the books how all of Jon's closest friends survive both the Great Ranging and the Wildling Assault intact…makes more sense that good friends wouldn't be so lucky. At least Grenn got to go out in awesome style.
I mean, the show is like 90% awesome character development to 10% action on the whole….most episodes are all talk and no action, and that's fine! So its ridiculous to think the show can't take one episode off from character stuff to just go balls out.
