Yeah, I've been hearing the inception ending too; that the same clothes the people in alfred's memory are the same clothes bruce and selina are wearing but I don't remember really or cared what clothes they were wearing. For now, I think batman is alive. I mean bruce.

I think if you are going to make these batman films gritty and realistic, you expect the unexpected, and I expected him to die or be crippled. Why didn't they put the Tom Lennon scene in one of the regular trailers? They were so bleak and didn't have any witty "taking the batpod or the lamborghini?"  laughs. After seeing such bleakness, it feels awkward (to me) to see this humor. My guess is Nolan actually made a comedy with only a montage of action scenes.
