It was a film that highlighted and put a spotlight on issues not usually filmed. La La Land was a wonder dream of unabashed goodness. I think the oscars should award it to films that "go there" more to fantasy but that's just me despite my loving LLL more than Moonlight.

I didn't go the midnight event because I don't see the use of buying toys. Don't have kids and don't have time to play. But I did go to stores participating in the event and I will admit I went a bit overboard with Star Wars food, cosmetics, books and clothing.
