Thou should know upon which ground one treads.

For all you television writers out there: how about "C-Story", an animated feature about a small family of sea urchins who try to overcome the racism they've faced for their little, poisonous points?

Wasn't Ackland also like the Russian Foreign Minister in The Hunt for Red October? Methinks so.

Loves this band. I listen to that little clip there and it didn't do anything for me. Then again I don't really like too much music. I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing here.

I'm with you, Tasha. Honestly, I'm not wild about drinking substances that would probably taste the same as when they come out.

I remember reading in Freakonomics that putting an ! in a real-estate listing was guaranteed to make one's house sell for less, perhaps because it reeks of desperation. Think about it—if your house is so awesome, shouldn't you have some confidence in it and not need to resort to punctuation to evoke

    david's kids
He doesn't have kids in the show, but he did in the one-hour special that preceded the show.

    great episode
Between Jane Krakowski and John Krasinski, I think it's heartening that Polish-Americans are beginning to get a little more representation on primetime, though unfortunately Serbian-Americans are still stuck with just Karl Malden.

It wasn't so much the ending of the movie that bothered me as the tone. It seemed to me that there was a palpable difference between the "Kubrick" parts and the "Spielberg" parts, and it turned out to be a little distracting, in my opinion. It was unfairly maligned, though.

I loved the moment in Nixon when, after Nixon orders his infamous air strikes on Cambodia while eating a very rare steak, we suddenly see that he has BLOOD ON HIS HANDS! Ollie Stone can even make Rob Reiner seem subtle by comparison.

    at least
They replaced Holmes with Maggie Gyllenhaal for the next Batman movie.

    Logic vs. Emotion
I think it's admirable that Kaye is trying to make a balanced statement on abortion—I don't think that it's odd that he doesn't really have an opinion on the procedure, as a lot of people I know don't have one either. I guess the issue doesn't quite interest them. Many are Republicans (although most

    the girls go cruisin'
    Did they meet Al Pacino?

    Austen
She's become more of a symbol for creative women than anything else, which is why she still has so many fans. What I don't get is why people glorify her, especially when George Eliot (who was a woman) and Edith Wharton basically did her thing way, way better than she did. I gladly read those two ladies' work,

    The Man Who Wasn't There
Anyone who thinks Thornton isn't a good actor needs to reacquaint themselves with this movie. Not only does he totally inhabit the role, but he goes so subtle and minimalist that I can't think of an actor that has done anything even close to what he does in that movie, let alone another one

    BSG with Kevin Smith
It will be the first episode of Battlestar Galactica set in Jersey.
