Looking at the IMDB descriptions to remember the episodes, I'd say you can safely skip #2-9.

Eh, dunno about that. Definitely agree with the Good Wife debut, but VD started out poorly. Then again, '09 wasn't so great for new drama's (though I liked Trauma personally).
However, VD did improve significantly during the second half of the first season and is now rightfully the new signature show for the CW. The

RIP: Life, Terriers, The Shield, The Wire, Homicide.

Same, that scene was great. Really liked the song ("These Days" by Jackson Browne) that came along with it, too.

Excellent work!
Thorough article, thanks for taking the time! Those clips are great to get a quick impression on some shows I've never seen.

I second "Peer Pressure"! For my own suggestion, how about "Peek of the Week".

With you there. I like the cinematography in this series a lot, and that scene delivered.

Represent!

Terriers represent!

@Johnny Daytona
As admirer of Tolkien, Martin has certainly pleased my taste. I wouldn't read the books back to back, but mixing them with Terry Pratchett works well :P

Came looking for this, thanks for posting! My favorite one as well =)

Homicide: Life on the Street Three Men and Adena
Finally started watching Homicide: Life on the Street, thanks to the recommendations here!

Terriers is missing. For films, both IMDB / Rottentomatoes would suggest to include "How to Train Your Dragon". However the films chosen do seem to be high quality (based off early IMDB / RT), although Avclub did not like 127 Hours (B-) / The Town (B-) as much.

They won me over with this video (Eurovision 2010 Flash Mob Dance "Madcon - Glow" ): http://www.youtube.com/watc…
If you got the time, watch the whole thing, jump mark is just for the part with the families in different countries =)

No! Do not want.

This is an excellent show. No Terriers, but well worth watching. Similar to Terriers (or Cougar Town as Spaceman Stiff rightly mentioned), the title can mislead your imagination. Don't let your imagination get away with it, give this show an actual chance by watching at least one episode!

Thanks
doh, my lengthy post just got eaten, serves me right not make backups prior to posting :(

I'm in line with Noel on this. Even gave it an A+, having no restrictions and all. The pacing in Fustercluck and Quid Pro Quo manage to elevate my already high satisfaction level with the show, which has basically been meandering between A and B+ to me so far. No other currently running show manages to do this,

Hendrix the first pick that came to my mind as well.
