Forwarded this rant to myspace as well.

Yeah, it is good to see attempts made to include critics in this, but the methodology (?) is atrocious.

Glad he had the courage to speak up about it. Hopefully the people in a position to make a difference (parents, teachers, friends of bullies…) will find a way to show this to the people that need it (bullying doesn't stop at age 18).

Those studies are awesome indeed. Great job on tackling this topic for sure, but if anyone hasn't yet, the older ones are interesting as well!

20 years? Really?
I am just glad no one is going through my statements from 20 years ago.

@kriegsaffe
We do have some good comedians actually. Hape Kerkeling (= Horst Schlemmer), the classic Otto Waalkes and Michael Mittermaier are my favorites.

Not sure how you disagree with my point of view here. Maybe let me explicitly state what might have been unclear:

Glad to be of service. The BBC would like to add this one:
"Incidentally, the longest everyday German word still has an impressive 39 letters: Rechtsschutzversicherungsgesellschaften,
meaning insurance companies which provide legal protection."

But Rex, doesn't the same apply to schools in other countries in the world?

Goodbye Lenin is a great movie as well, nice pick.

When I first went as a kid, my experienced sucked because I could not speak more than a few basic sentences. The kids I met had learned English in school but refused to use to it to talk with me. Hated France in spite for a couple of years.

The Dutch are great. Met so many cool people there (or elsewhere). Our countries have this love/hate relationship due to football, but I think we are sort of in love secretly.

Una cerveza por favor! Ah I am sure I'd get along well enough, after all it went fine in European countries where I didn't know the language either and their English was awful. It's just that it takes away from the experience when you can't communicate. Touristy stuff is fine for parts of the vacation, but I enjoy the

Shrug, I don't see why they can't work around it. E.g. give him some cough syrup with alcohol in it. Have something go wrong in a lab. Worst case they can have him discover an alternative that stimulates him just as well as drinking does.
Limitations, yeah sure. But impossible? Nopes.

mediocre episode
Spot on analysis, this episode was mediocre at best. However, I must admit I did lose it when Howard was shown in the doorway after the "knock-knock-knock PENNY" routine.

Not sure whether you are asking in general or about Philly specifically, but I've been to a swim club in CT that seemed exactly like the one depicted as "upper class".
