Bea Arthur, Betty White, and Leslie Nielson imo.
Bea Arthur, Betty White, and Leslie Nielson imo.
I actually saw the movie…
…despite hearing how terrible it was. And it's not quite as bad as I expected. It's still bad. I mean, the acting is pretty atrocious, especially the Japanese guy, who isn't convincing at all when he's supposed to be terrified and/or freaking out. The German doctor guy is hilarious…
Have to agree with the UMD on this one. The first half of Fight Club = brilliant. The latter half… kind of loses its shit (and not in a good way for me). I remember the first time they did the big split personality "reveal" and I felt a bit cheated honestly.
American Dad is the best of the four Fox shows on Sunday night. Cleveland Show is clearly the worst. You're right though; there's no reason why it should exist.
I've found it has an inconsistent tone and pacing. It's really weird and quiet in some places, then fast-paced and unnecessarily zany in others.
The Stakeout
Is a great episode, imo, and much more deserving of a B or B+ than the C+ given, imo. Of course I'm splitting hairs here, but whatev I love the episode.
I met Jake Busey at Chicago Comic-con last year. He was one of the washed up, has been, never was, and/or semi-celebrity personalities signing autographs for ten bucks. We spent about 5 minutes talking about Starship Troopers and how fucking awesome it is. I told him I always wished I had seen him in more action…
Am I the only one who thinks Scott Pilgrim looks like absolute shit? I have very little faith in Michael Cera and the trailer was kinda awful imo.
I've always contended that both Pirates sequels (especially part 3) are just as bad, if not worse, than the Star Wars prequels.
My best buddy gave me the book for my birthday like 5 years ago. To this day, still the best gift I've ever received.
We had a tornado bowl through town…
…so this is a bit late, but "What to think" might just be my favorite episode of Mr. Show which at only show #2, is really really amazing.
I'm a huge Apatow fan. I even like some of his lesser productions, like Drillbit Taylor for example. But Get Him to the Greek looks like absolute shit to me.
Jonah Hill
What's his appeal?
Almost as weird is that early episode where Jerry's father is played by another actor.
That was fucking perfect. Bravo good sir.
That's fine, "Who's Pearl Jam." Hate on me all you want. There was no pretension meant in my post whatsoever. I'd honestly never heard of M.I.A. until last week and pretty much had no reason to.
I should also point out that I didn't hear Rihanna's song "Umbrella" until like 3 weeks ago either.
Dunno, bro. I'm not that big into music. I'm still listening to Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters stuff from the mid-90s. I haven't turned MTV on in years, probably not since Real World Miami and I think that was like 1997. I've never heard of her until last week, but she sounds like a complete nut-job.
I had never heard of this woman…
…until that newswire last week. I'd like to think of both newswires as some sort of fever dream and go back to living in a world where I have no idea who M.I.A. is.
