christ that look of manic glee on her face at the end… someone give claire danes another emmy

yes i agree.  also the way they used the time travel conceit to make joseph gordon looper (that's what i'm gonna call him i forgot the character name already) his own father figure he had to overcome was a pretty cool twist

my lip was quivering during pretty much all the mom stuff but i was actually like full on, tears streaming down cheeks weeping during that last bit of voiceover.  i'm a real cool, manly dude

i thought they shot extra stuff for the chinese version of the movie i didn't realize the stuff shot in china was also in the american version (i just got back from the movie so now i, like bruce willis, am frustrated with the ignorance of my younger self)

i wept openly during the climax of looper

Deadline says Johnson's film was altered to suit the requirements of the Chinese co-production company DMG. Large sequences were relocated from the US to China – which, 60 years in the future, has become the world's greatest superpower – and Chinese actor Qing Xu was added to the cast as Willis's wife.
is that gonna be

imo the dean is full of too much self-hatred to pull that move

if we meet again in the next life, you will be my sworn enemy and i will show you no mercy

yeah but i don't go around kicking anthills unless i have a very good reason, especially if those ants have magic space guns that can kill me.  why have they gone back to 21st century earth?  it doesn't seem suited for them, environmentally.  they have the whole of time and space to choose from.  what gives?  and why
