i agree about jeff and annie (but you're wrong, a huge segment of the fanbase still loves them trust me).  i don't think "the show" thinks they'd be good together though. they keep almost hooking up and then deciding it'd be a terrible idea, which is a dynamic i hope they move beyond in season 4
