I would highly recommend listening to Middleditch's You Made It Weird episode (http://nerdist.com/you-made…. Middleditch turns out to be a really open, introspective, sad guy, who is totally honest about all of his issues. He and Pete had a friend breakup and delve into what happened. It's one of the most interesting

Totally agree with your categories. I'd put Colin Hay slightly below Nick Thorburn, who I'm convinced is in the Jon Hamm Pantheon of People Who Are Funnier Than Most Comedians. He has the driest, most effortless wit (check episode 7 of Analyze Phish when he asks Harris if he wants a meat tray).

Mr. British Petroleum here. Hollywood Handbook is absolutely intolerable, and Earwolf's worst show by a good margin.

HDTGM will show a trailer and some clips, but they never show the whole film.

I actually found it really embarrassing how Maron tried repeatedly to talk film with PTA. His insight about how Josh Brolin "has fuckin chops, man" was hilarious. I'd argue this interview was good in spite of Maron, not because of him.

Though it's not on here, I have to say after listening to the episode of DLM with Dan Telfer, he is one of the worst DLM guests ever. He swears needlessly, uses the phrase "watched the shit out of," and is a generally unfunny pox on whatever he appears on. Doing "fuckin' social media for @midnight" seems about right

Amen. I will never understand the public outcry over what happened with The Tonight Show. Conan was paid 32.5 million dollars by NBC to get him out of his contract. I repeat, dude got 32.5 million dollars!

Tom posted the following on the FOT board:
"The show with Chris Gethard is not happening. IFC chose not to move
forward with it. Too bad, the script is one of my favorite things ever
and working with Chris was an absolute dream."

I agree that was a great ep, though I think almost in spite of Pete. He has the horrible tendency to continuously make jokes when someone is telling a story and then laugh maniacally at his own jokes. For some reason I thought Pete might hold off doing this because June was getting into such heavy stuff, but sure

"On a personal side note, those contacts are doin' wonders for your look. You got those Paul Walker eyes."

It's kind of old now, but if you haven't heard it, I highly recommend checking out Hill and McBride on The Treatment with Elvis Mitchell:

He looks like fuckin' Neo, doesn't he? It's fuckin' cool.

Around 44 seconds into the video they pick a guy up across from Tortilla Flats, then drive to Mitchell Park and through downtown, but that's about all I recognize.  The bench at 1:20 is in Shell Beach.  I had to turn it off shortly thereafter because the music was so awful.

A ton of people.  Dude's a professional broadcaster and can't get a single question out without saying "um, uh, like" etc.

Can't believe no one referenced the best moments:

The reason I brought up the surprise element was that in Louis' interview with Terry Gross he talked about the surprise he felt and the vacillating emotional journey he went through.  This seemed to be a major reason why he felt the set was so amazing.  As far as I can tell, his tweet and backing of the recording is

I think this fell far short of the hype.  Especially considering the Fresh Air episode dedicated to it, and the This American Life episode being created specifically to showcase it.
