At least Singer used that as a foil for the character in the first two movies. Magneto spent more time reminding Logan that not everything was about him than doing anything else.

Eh. I wasn't a fan of either one of them in the Avengers, but if you're splitting them off into a lower-powered (and probably more subtle) group away from the heavy hitters, they might work better
