I have been thinking the same thing. I watched this episode with people who hadn't read the books and are also big dog lovers. Watching the RW and Grey Wind die was bad, but if they had shown the head sewn onto Rob, I think they would have lost it.

Watched this with non-book reading friends and it was worth it. They had no idea and were floored when it happened.
Also, seeing Talisa at the wedding made me really believe she was in on it but the Baby-stab put those thoughts to rest really quickly. Man that was brutal.

I thought that was handled well. Jim knew people who had moved away wouldn't attend Dwight's wedding if they had to pay for their trip on their own so he made the reunion fall on the same weekend.
