This band must be renamed IMMEDIATELY.

That photographer's knees would have received a thrashing they never would have forgotten…

I have mixed feelings about RTF. On the one hand, the musicianship is untouchable; it's one of the few band I'd feel comfortable describing as "astonishing" in that sense.

Someone posted a link to an article about that a while back. It was surprising in that I always assumed Wakeman was the going to be the most obnoxiously effete of all of them, but in fact he was a working-class, meat-eating, beer-swilling guy who just wanted some decent food on tour.

I've gotten through all of them. They can be a bit pretentious, and they weren't THAT good (they were definitely the hipster darlings of their scene), but Third brings it, and the live BBC version is even better.

I could never quite pinpoint what they were doing; it was almost like Klezmer rock.

"No Quarter" as well, and to great effect, I believe.

I think you really have to take Satriani out of it. The writer/typist analogy is a very apt there: He's like a guy who can type 200 words a minute but couldn't write an original sentence if you put a gun to his head.
