yeah i thought he was gonna go into comedown philosopher mode and talk the family through their problems.  That might have actually been sort of cool, but as it is… yeah this was an extremely half-assed episode.

yeah so far both the episodes have been solid B's.  Looks like Simpsons might hopefully be on a bit of an upswing from last season.  And I didn't think last week's episode was aggresively stupid, though the review was.  This recap was much better.

i guess a lot of it depends on where you're at but teacher salaries are actually pretty good, especially considering they only work 9 months out of the year.  Plus yearly raises.  Sounds pretty sweet to me.

yes i think it's easily that expensive especially if you get Premium channels like HBO. i was curious about why the AV Club Austin shut down while at the same time it's expanding to all these podunk towns like Fort Collins and Omaha.  You would think Austin would be a good city for it, but then out of nowhere it just shut down.  Maybe nobody else was reading it, but dammit, I liked it!  I did my part!
