yeah I liked the gag alright.  Overall it was a decent, B-worthy episode.  Didn't give a shit at all about the Nedna stuff… thought the way they handled it was fine.

Good call.  I was thinking of "They're Coming to Take Me Away".  As strange as some of the early to mid 90's stuff that people are mentioning was, I don't think it holds a candle to some of the more bizarre hits of the '60's, like that or "In the Year 2525"

it definitely sounds like it was recorded around 1990.

i'd imagine there's a lot of busted monocles at the One Million Moms meetings.

Lisa needs braces!

where do you work?  Down at the Ye Olde Douchebag factory?

Glad to know i wasn't the only one expecting this to be a Godard re-release.  Great film, that one.

Yes, "The Lady in Red" soundtrack was where Stevie Wonder truly came in to his own.  His early work was a bit too funky for me.

"Kooks" by David Bowie.  Recognize.

Are you thinking of "Black and Blue"?  And "Living for the City" is my all time favourite Stevie Wonder jam.

The Who?  Are you from the UK?  They are huge in the US.

I highly recommend everyone click on his profile.

now i know the record industry is hurting but surely there must be other ways they can maintain profit margins.

plus who wants to be a mere henchmen?  They always get their asses kicked easily by the hero.

fuck yeah on the Stranglers even though they were apparently pretty huge over in the UK.

shit come to Texas.  They are inexplicably huge here.  I always thought of them as one-hit wonders until I moved here.  They even have their own yearly festival that they do called Dia de los Toadies.

I picked up a Shriekback album for a quarter once out of a bargain bin.  I thouroughly enjoyed it.

yeah Blue Oyster Cult was pretty huge.  They have several songs that are classic rock radio staples.  They are awesome though.  I think you could argue they didn't get the critical respect they were due, but honestly they were just about as popular as they should have been.

i agree.  it didn't get rid of the spambots, plus it seems to encourage people coming on here to make one-liners then getting 20 likes or whatever for it.

I'm almost 100 % positive that Nathan Rabin wrote that.
