In the discussions, I find that even a little drop in comment or question can shed a great deal of light onto a seemingly exhausted topic. It's nice just to have as many people active in the conversation as there are. So rare to have an worthwhile in-depth book discussion outside of the academic realm.

I'm having trouble placing why, but I really liked the scene between Betty and Harry in bed. The quiet, kind of awkward way she touches on the honesty issue with him, the proud way he says "You could be doing the same for me," - there was just something sweet about it.
Lane's long-standing resentment toward the social hierarchy of British culture is well mentioned in season three, specifically in an argument with his wife regarding New York vs. London. "Nobody here has asked me where I went to school."
Her voice sounds like she's a chain-smoking truck stop waitress, which I find weirdly appealing. Disturbing, but appealing.
I keep trying to trick my friend into hearing "Party in the USA" for the first time. So far she has bested all my efforts.
