Yeah I've wondered about that too. I definitely think the show was much going to be much simpler earlier on (relatively speaking) but then the crazy response to the show created this environment where every detail was overanalyzed, fans ran through multiple possible scenarios and so the showrunners had to keep

It would have worked as a series finale but it also has enough to hint at for another season. Leslie dealing with her new job in the City Council while juggling it with her Parks gig and Andy becoming a police officer.

I'm pretty sure it will be. The show doesn't have good ratings like The Office, so it's unlikely to continue on year after year till it becomes a crawling zombie.

I guess I have really low standards then, cause I would still tap that.

The Mindy Project sounds like something NBC could have used. It sounds like a romantic comedy type of show and is supposedly in the vein of Bridget Jones's Diary. It's a much better fit with The Voice than Revolution and Go on, both of which will definitely be more male skewing.

Keeping its Thursday night schedule almost intact is the big mistake NBC is making. Thursday is the battle between networks. Fox has The X-Factor, ABC has Grey's Anatomy, CBS has Big Bang Theory and Person of Interest. The Office is the only strong show ratings wise NBC has and even it can hardly compare to these

While I stopped watching midway last season because the show just seemed to be on autopilot, I still think fondly of the show especially in it's first 4 seasons.

Getting a Parks update without it having to do with its renewal is like slow torture.

What I'm really worried about is that Deadline is implying that Community (and Parks too) are getting 13 episodes simply so they can be wrapped up and NBC can focus on their new comedies.

Except they're so much better than Jim and Pam. Unlike Jim, Ben is endearing and charming not a smug prankster. And unlike Pam, Leslie is ambitious, hardworking and career oriented.

One thing that the finale did as usual was giving its characters forward momentum.
- Leslie is part of the City Council and will continue to help the town
- Andy will presumably learn to be a police officer (which is perfect for him)
- Ben after grappling with his job loss and then helping Leslie will for 6 months have a

It's a perfect story for his character. While having the characters in different departments might separate them a bit, it could also add to the wealth of stories for the show. I would love to see what the law enforcement has to deal with in Pawnee.

'Did I touch your boob'? So much sexual tension between Leslie and Ann!

Jean Ralphio was a nice surprise. Hope he'll make more appearances next season.

The show will definitely get a renewal. The only question is the number of episodes and whether it will premiere in fall or midseason.

I loved his 'Nudin' even more.

What was even more beautiful about that scene was that it didn't turn into a big deal with Leslie and Ben erupting with joy. It just focuses on Leslie quietly smiling with tears in her eyes. An expertly crafted moment

You are a national treasure.
