If they were competent they'd never become Nazis.

"At what point on the graph do 'must' and 'cannot' meet?"

@avclub-64f027640f63616a277e92096313264f:disqus  I first saw Return of the Jedi while on a family vacation to South Dakota, making it the greatest family vacation ever.

I especially liked the medical expenses part of the confession because it didn't seem to gel with the rest of the lie.  If Hank was a meth kingpin why the hell would he need Walter to pay his bills?  It's like Walt is saying "I'm so confident you won't go to DEA I'm not even going to bother keeping my story straight."

He certainly took her crying suggestions to heart.

Anyone else find that message all the more terrifying for its casualness?  "I dunno, I just murdered a bunch of guys and stuff.  No bigs."

I was racking my brain for the code word Saul told Walt about back in season 4.  I did remember he said he was supposed to leave a message, hang up, and the guy would call back.  When that didn't happen I got worried.

He did this weird shake that made me think he was about to have a seizure.

Would the money be worth an F episode though?  I'd probably pay $500 not to have to watch an F at this point.

Agreed, Jessie finding out about the cigarette was hurried and too convenient.  But that just edges the episode away from A territory.  It's forgivable because we just don't have enough time.

I don't know if you were purposely quoting Hermes from "The Deep South" but damn that's some synergy.

Disagree.  After he's caught Walt will reveal to ABQ that he's buried barrels of money in the desert under a giant H and escape in the chaos.

Sklyer at car wash: "Out!  Out damn spot!"

I think Donna just confused factual analysis with thematic for a second.  The dope smoking was the proximate cause of Jessie getting bumped, but the ricin cigarette connection upped the tension.

Mr. Hipster:

But he ain't going to be redeemed, the writers have shown they aren't aiming for an arc.  Rather they are trying to show what a man is.  That there aren't certain actions which will lead a man ever upwards, but only milestones to show where he's been.  (The necessitates of rhetoric have made this comment rather

Before I post anything further I would like to thank Todd for this review; it is a very odd episode, which is very open to a "fuck this!" response.  Not only did he pilot that Scylla but also skirted the Charybdis of responses like mine, and I am grateful for it.

AAARGH!  Such a vague answer and yet so fraught a word (rhythm)!  For the love of Christ answer me further!

To piss off her pimp, who was throwing her out.  To say that he (Li'l Don) was worth the $5 while he (Imma call him Uncle Buck) was worth less.
