So many sex jokes in this one. But I really liked it; it was good breather/fun episode, compared to last weeks mythos-heavy awesomeness.

Yeah, the first time was funny, 'cuz it should how "old" Simon was, but the second time was just heart-breaking as he struggled to retain his humanity.

I agree. I really like the subtle differentiation that separated Simon and the Ice King.

Everyone who says that this is the worst episode of the series needs to remember the clip show from season 6 (waste of an episode), and the entirety of season 8.

True, the season opener was awesome. The rest that you mention were pretty good, but nowhere near "Sons of Mars" or "Lady & Peebles" level awesome.

Upon viewing, I didn't think this was that great, but it wasn't bad (I gave it a B–). I feel that this season has been really slow, and none (save "Vault of Bones") have been instant stand-outs. Not that it has been a bad season; I think the ending episodes of season 4 were just so awesome, that this season seems a

I'm really hoping that "Simon and Marcy" is awesome. I also hope that my expectations aren't too high. That can ruin things.

I don't know about you all, but "Pork and Beans" is my jam, and love old-school Weezer.

This episode was worth it, just so we could chill with Marceline and hear her tell a story. Although, he tale is really shippy in an odd Finn/Marceline gender-swapped way.

Agreed. It was mediocre, like the ninth season. But for "The X-Files", that's a sin.

He had already gotten that.

They could have done it in a way that was a little less stupid. Like, it wasn't a super-terminal illness (maybe it would kill him in 5-10 years) and that's why he was looking for treatment; just in case. Then you could explain why he didn't use it to cure himself here, since he wasn't too worried about it.

RETCON!

I totally agree. I don't think it was a trainwreck, it just wasn't the original show anymore. No more Mulder, barely any Scully. Doggett was cool, but Reyes was kind of shoehorned in there.

They should've made the penultimate episode a big myth-arc closer, and then do one last standalone for ol' times sakes, ending with everyone happy (everyone as in Mulder and Scully). Like what Todd said, have them close the X-Files division down, but let M&S ride off into the sunset with their child. That would've

It was short for Jon Bon Jovi.

I actually really enjoyed this episode.

Yeah, the title card was legit.

I will say, if anyone can fix this sinking ship, it's Daniels (as I felt that he has for the rest of the season, mostly). And at least the plot is forward momentum for the series and not the poop that was last season.
