I was horribly disappointed with how they introduced Jon Snow to Mance.  I loved the scenein the book when Jon knew he had to say the exact right thing, and he just nailed it.  "Do you remember where the bastard sat?" or something along those lines.  Fabulous.  That's the way you convince the leader of a free tribe

And to think that we now have a trio of Sexy Dwarves in the Tolkien-verse…

Okay good, someone else is not too keen on Kili the Sexy Dwarf.  It's weird.  I never once had the impression, in all the times I have read Tolkien, that dwarves were essentially smaller versions of elves, but Kili seems to be the Legolas of this trilogy, right down to the archery skills.
