Agreed. If I ever got to drive a limo, I don't think I could resist trying to 180 it after that scene. Season 2 opener is probably my favorite dramatic episode after the season 2 finale.

That's one of my favorite CJ moments, when she walks into the Oval Office with the poll results. It really shows how unique a person she is in that administration, as she is one of the only people there not dominated by cynicism.
Yeah, Toast, Sorkin really nailed the finales for seasons 1 & 2. It must have been brutal, though, for those watching the show during the original airing to have to wait so long between the season 1 finale and the start of season 2. But it definitely must have been worth the wait.
Agreed, Chris. While Anya and Spike are two awesome characters to have in the Scooby gang, their presence makes no sense whatsoever. Anya could be somewhat defensible in that she was not really a malicious demon and is quite harmless, but Spike was a self-acknowledged 'big bad'. Why he wasn't staked on sight,…
Quaid has done some fine stuff in his time, and is probably a fairly talented and decent human being. However, his choices in movies over the past 7-8 years has been downright atrocious. I was merely confused if I was supposed to find it a positive that the man from 'The Alamo' was in 'G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra'.
Yeah, but X-Men also neglected to include members of the original team such as Beast, and made Iceman into a douche, and in general toned down everyone's personality except for Wolverine and Rogue, who were the "cool rebels". But I still liked it, and it had Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen, which fucking rocked hard.
Wait, what?? How have I missed that bit of complete fucking awesome and potentially awful weirdness? I may have to go see this now. Of course, Transformers 2 essentially had softcore porn and it still sucked, but who knows, maybe Hollywood won't disappoint me this time.
Really? I thought the G.I. Joe trailer looked ridiculous. And not a Crank kind of ridiculous, but just a dumb, generic action movie with retarded effects. The soldiers jumping around in slo-mo, dodging missiles? Destruction of major landmarks (Eifel Tower)? Dennis Quaid?
SPOILING COMMENCING
Wow, props for the factoids, ya nerd. That line from Tim Minear is pretty great.
Fuck "well-written and organic". Writers aren't allowed to kill people that I like. They should know that by now, after all the letters I've sent, but for some reason they never reply, and characters keep dying.
Even taking that into account, it's still a pretty big deal for a show with 3 names in the credits to axe one of those names. Ultimately it was probably a good move, but it does come as a bit of a shock (who expects it less than halfway through the 1st season of a show?).
I agree that IWRY was much too contrived, but it still had a megaton of emotional firepower. And man, Angel has to be the most consistently shat on character I've encountered.
I've been watching Buffy for the first time (couldn't do just 3 a week, though) and this stretch of Season 4 has probably been the most solid and consistent run yet (I'm only halfway through Season 5, but I get the impression that it mainly goes downhill from there). "Pangs" is funny, mainly due to Spike's remarks on…
No. Your opinion is incorrect. Watch 'Reservoir Dogs'. Apologize.
I just watched that ep of Buffy the other day. Her career really shot up pretty fucking quick, since she's now in approximately 12% of all major movies. And has Stanley Tucci (despite his awesomeness) ever played a major role in a movie? Or at least in the past 5-10 years? That dude was the shit in Murder One.

"Before I knew about Therese Raquin, I knew about the vampires"
I was just thinking of UHF the other day. I need to monitor my thoughts better.
Well, according to the morons behind the Emmys, she is only a 'Supporting Actress' in Damages. If you disregard the fact that she has the most screen time, and is the main character of the show, it makes perfect sense! So, she must have oodles of time to spare for shit movies.
Neko Case
I would watch pretty much anything that had Neko Case in the voice-cast. Not really gonna shell out a bunch of cash for one pilot, but that still sounds pretty effing bad-ass. Ya know, in a Neko Case way.
